The LC connector is a type of fiber optic connector. Due to its physical dimensions being only half the size of SC/ST/FC connectors, it falls under the category of small form factor (SFF) connectors. LC connectors are widely used in structured cabling system engineering. They are manufactured using a user-friendly modular jack (RJ) latching mechanism. The dimensions of their pins and sleeves are half those of standard SC, FC, and similar connectors, measuring 1.25mm. This design enhances the density of fiber optic connectors within fiber distribution frames. Currently, LC connectors have achieved dominant market share in single-mode SFF applications, while their adoption in multi-mode applications is also growing rapidly.
