Product Introduction

As the optical information receiver of optical receiver system, PINFET (P-Intrinsic-N Field-Effect Transistor)   acts as voltage amplified optoelectronic converter.

Specification Parameters, such as linearity response, minimum linear optical power,     linear saturation optical power, 3dB bandwidth S21 are specially defined for the applications of analog optical fiber systems (for example, IFOG & FOCT et al fiber optic sensor).

The PINFET converts the optical signal returned by the Sagnac interferometer into an electrical signal and amplifies the weak signal. In fiber optic communication systems, PINFET is usually used as digital devices, while in fiber optic gyroscopes, it is used as analog devices.

 

The main requirements of fiber optic gyroscopes for PINFET components are as follows:

1. Higher responsivity and sensitivity, smaller thermal noise and dark current noise to reduce the decrease in signal-to-noise ratio after the optical signal is converted into an electrical signal;

2. Larger dynamic range to adapt to larger optical power input at higher signal-to-noise ratio;

3. The frequency bandwidth meets the requirements of the gyroscope.
