Introduction

FOG optical module is a modular component of Fiber Coil + MIOC designed for fiber optic gyros. The fiber coil and MIOC are spliced together and integrated in a shell. The FOG optical module can be treated as an independent integrated sensing component, which has electrical interface and single-mode tail fiber. When using the FOG optical module, it is only need to connect electrical interface with the signal processing circuit and splice the single-mode fiber pigtail with PIN-FET through single-mode fiber fusion splicer, and the users no longer need expensive PM fiber fusion splicer to splice PM fibers of fiber coil and MIOC.
